Our client purchased a late C18th residence with 1970s extension, which was in poor condition. They aspired to rejuvenate the dwelling, with larger living spaces and upgrade the building fabric to create a comfortable spacious family home.
Our design scheme replaced the 1970s extension, with a new two-storey projecting gable front extension, an annex extension to the other side and single storey extension to the front facade. New dormer windows were added to the rear elevation to create a greater sense of space within the upper bedrooms.
The new construction consisted of high thermally insulating clay blocks, with external insulation, finished in a pre-coloured render. Our office also designed all the fitted furniture including the kitchen, bookcases, bathroom vanity units and hall stand.”
